Kehinde and Taiwo Ogundipe, a set of twins, share a wife, a decision they made to demonstrate their unity and challenge societal norms.


This was made public by a story published by Drum in 1978.


At the time of the story, the woman already had a baby from the union. This was what one of the twins said: "Our decision to get married to one wife was to prove to the world—and Nigerians in particular—that as one man can marry many wives, twins can only justify their oneness by owning things in common. God made us to be one in whatever we do."

  Police reject N4m bribe from Bayelsa murder suspect Operatives of Operation Puff Adder of the Bayelsa State Police Command and Nigerian Immigration Office, Festac Town, Lagos, have rejected a bribe of N4.0m from George Idumangi, who has been arrested for the murder of Richard Ekpebu, a Bayelsa estate agent. On Wednesday, Idumangi allegedly offered the N4.0m bribe to immigration officers so they would not hand him over to the police, and later offered the police N3.0 million to delete a certain file from his phone. It was gathered that Idumangi was arrested on Monday by men of the NIS in Lagos when he went to collect his procured passport. His arrest was due to inter-agency collaboration between the NIS and the Nigeria Police Force, particularly the Operation Puff Adder and the Area E Police Command in Lagos.
