New research from Stanford provides the clearest available evidence that AI is reshaping the workforce—but it’s complicated.



Economists at Stanford University have found the strongest evidence yet that artificial intelligence is starting to eliminate certain jobs. But the story isn’t that simple: While younger workers are being replaced by AI in some industries, 

more experienced workers are seeing new opportunities emerge.

  Police reject N4m bribe from Bayelsa murder suspect Operatives of Operation Puff Adder of the Bayelsa State Police Command and Nigerian Immigration Office, Festac Town, Lagos, have rejected a bribe of N4.0m from George Idumangi, who has been arrested for the murder of Richard Ekpebu, a Bayelsa estate agent. On Wednesday, Idumangi allegedly offered the N4.0m bribe to immigration officers so they would not hand him over to the police, and later offered the police N3.0 million to delete a certain file from his phone. It was gathered that Idumangi was arrested on Monday by men of the NIS in Lagos when he went to collect his procured passport. His arrest was due to inter-agency collaboration between the NIS and the Nigeria Police Force, particularly the Operation Puff Adder and the Area E Police Command in Lagos.
